“We worked with Dustin at Little Hollow Flowers in year 2 of our flower farm. We had established some success with growing flowers and developing sales channels and so we were ready for the next step to extend our season. We had never grown in high tunnels and we had SO MANY questions. Everything from what to look for when purchasing one to installation, maintenance, and venting. We started with a tour of Dustin's farm where we could see how he had set up his own high tunnels. We took notes about how he utilized irrigation, building end walls and installing landscape fabric. He had prepared some very useful documents with all the specifications for his high tunnel and crop suggestions. I still reference it 2 years later! Dustin then came to our farm to do a site visit and help us think through our particular situation. He helped us determine a good location for the tunnels, spacing between the tunnels, and other considerations. We were also quite intimidated by getting irrigation to all of our tunnels. He came prepared with a model of the irrigation parts and how they all fit together to get water to the tunnels. It was invaluable!
